We currently have an exciting job opportunity for Drafting Technicians & Jr. Drafting Technicians at our St. George SC office. Reporting to the Drafting Manager, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in creating detailed plans and technical drawings, ranging from heavy sawmill equipment to machine spare parts. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and modify designs using CAD software, such as SolidWorks.
• Create accurate and detailed assembly, sub-assembly, manufacturing, and design drawings.
• Ensure that all designs align with project requirements and manufacturing capabilities.
• Assist in troubleshooting technical issues and proposing effective solutions.

WHAT YOU CAN OFFER

• Proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, for 3D modeling and design.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and principles, including machining and fabrication.
• Experience with equipment design and familiarity with engineering standards and codes is a plus.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
